The inferior alveolar and lingual nerves can be damaged by a number of dental procedures including local anesthesia, root canal therapy, implant insertion, periodontal surgery and dentoalveolar surgery (especially third molars surgery). This talk will discuss the etiology of these conditions, their prevention and management.
