Description
Consequence of infection control may be shrinkage of the soft tissue with obvious aesthetic impairment. In the past soft tissue contraction was generally considered necessary to achieve periodontal health. Now days gingival recession can be partially prevented, diagnosing the tissues characteristics, the biotype and selecting the proper instruments, in terms of size and shape, according, to minimize the local trauma and the gingival recession.
